From AM to DE, we train every category ourselves — theory and practice at both locations.
Car & motorcycle
- AM Moped From age 14 For mopeds, scooters and light four-wheeled vehicles with a maximum design speed of 45 km/h. For conventional mopeds with a combustion engine, the general limit is 50 cc. Ideal for: mopeds, 50 cc scooters and light microcars.
- A1 Motorcycle up to 125 cc From age 16 For motorcycles up to 125 cc, with a maximum output of 11 kW and a power-to-weight ratio of no more than 0.1 kW/kg. It also covers three-wheeled motor vehicles up to 15 kW. Ideal for: 125 cc motorcycles and scooters.
- A2 Motorcycle up to 35 kW From age 18 For motorcycles with a maximum output of 35 kW and a power-to-weight ratio of no more than 0.2 kW/kg. The motorcycle must not be derived from a vehicle with more than double that output. Ideal for: mid-range motorcycles.
- A Unrestricted motorcycle Direct access from age 24, or from age 20 with at least 2 years on A2 The full motorcycle licence: no limits on power or engine size. Ideal for: any motorcycle — with no power restrictions.
- B1 Quadricycles From age 16 For heavy quadricycles with a maximum output of 15 kW. Statutory weight limits also apply to this vehicle class. Ideal for: heavy quadricycles and comparable quad bikes.
- B Car From age 18 The standard car licence. For vehicles with a maximum authorised mass of up to 3,500 kg and no more than 8 seats in addition to the driver's. As a rule, you can tow a trailer of up to 750 kg. Under certain conditions, heavier trailers are also possible with category B. Ideal for: cars, SUVs, small vans and many motorhomes up to 3.5 t.
- B96 Car + trailer up to 4.25 t From age 18 An extension of category B for car-and-trailer combinations with a total maximum authorised mass of more than 3,500 kg and up to 4,250 kg. Ideal for: larger caravans and trailers when category B is no longer enough.
- BE Car + trailer From age 18 For a category B towing vehicle combined with a trailer or semi-trailer with a maximum authorised mass of up to 3,500 kg. Ideal for: large caravans, horse trailers, boat trailers and car transporters.
Truck & bus
- C1 Truck up to 7.5 tonnes From age 18 For vehicles with a maximum authorised mass of more than 3,500 kg and up to 7,500 kg, with no more than 8 seats in addition to the driver's. Trailers up to 750 kg are permitted. Ideal for: smaller trucks, heavy motorhomes and specialist vehicles.
- C1E C1 + trailer From age 18 For category C1 vehicles with a trailer or semi-trailer over 750 kg. As a rule, the combination's total maximum authorised mass must not exceed 12,000 kg. Ideal for: smaller trucks with heavy trailers.
- C Truck Generally from age 21; under certain conditions from age 18 with a CQC For vehicles with a maximum authorised mass of more than 3,500 kg. The 7.5-tonne limit of category C1 no longer applies. Trailers up to 750 kg are permitted. Ideal for: heavy trucks and commercial vehicles.
- CE Truck + trailer over 3.5 t Generally from age 21; under certain conditions from age 18 with the relevant CQC For category C vehicles with a trailer or semi-trailer over 750 kg. Ideal for: heavy truck-and-trailer combinations, articulated trucks and professional haulage.
- D1 Minibus up to 16 passengers From age 21 For passenger vehicles carrying no more than 16 passengers in addition to the driver, with a maximum length of 8 metres. Trailers up to 750 kg are permitted. Ideal for: minibuses and smaller passenger vehicles.
- D1E Minibus + trailer From age 21 For category D1 vehicles with a trailer over 750 kg. Ideal for: minibuses with a heavy trailer.
- D Bus Generally from age 24; earlier under certain conditions with the relevant CQC For passenger vehicles with more than 8 passenger seats in addition to the driver's. Trailers up to 750 kg are permitted. Ideal for: buses, coaches and professional passenger transport.
- DE Bus + trailer Generally from age 24; earlier under certain conditions with the relevant CQC For category D vehicles with a trailer over 750 kg. Ideal for: buses and coaches with a heavy trailer.
Professional & further training
- CQC Goods transport Professional qualification for truck drivers The CQC (Carta di Qualificazione del Conducente) is the professional driver qualification required for certain commercial goods transport work with category C1, C, C1E and CE vehicles. Ideal for: anyone who wants to work as a professional truck driver.
- CQC Passenger transport Professional qualification for bus drivers The equivalent professional driver qualification for certain commercial passenger transport work with category D1, D, D1E and DE vehicles. Ideal for: professional bus and passenger transport drivers.
- CQC Periodic training Keep your professional qualification valid The CQC must be renewed regularly through mandatory periodic training. We make your CQC training simple and well organised from start to finish.
- Tacho Tachograph course Use the tachograph safely and correctly Hands-on training in operating the tachograph correctly, covering driving times, rest periods, breaks and the key legal requirements. Ideal for: professional drivers and companies in goods and passenger transport.
